Glutaraldehyde Test Strip is used to determine the concentration of the high-level glutaraldehyde-containing germicide solutions to ensure that the disinfectant solution still has the necessary efficacy for disinfection and spore killing or not.
Detectable concentration range
The RRS test strip is used to measure the concentration of glutaraldehyde in the range of 0.5 to 2.5%.
Instructions for Use Glutaraldehyde Test Strip
- Remove the test strips from container and close the lid tightly.
- Insert the reactive part of test strip into the disinfectant solution for 1 second and then take it out.
- Swing the test strip to remove the excess solution on the strip.
- Waiting for 60-90 seconds and compare the color change of the glutaraldehyde test with the colorimetric chart on the container and note the approximate concentration. The color of the test strip may change over time and it lose validity.
Note
In the presence of formaldehyde or pH less than 4 or more than 9, there is a possibility of causing errors in the test.
Storage
The test strip be stored away from light and moisture. Always keep the container lid tightly closed. Store in a dry and cool place (temperature below 30 degrees Celsius).
